Happy New Year. What's the story with the photo?
And no, not familiar with the 4th Magi.

Artaban is a young Magus (Wise Man) who desires to follow the star to the birthplace of the coming King, against the counsel of his friends and family. Carrying three precious jewels to give to the baby Messiah, Artaban and his reluctant servant Orontes set off to join the caravan of the three other wise men. They miss the caravan, but Artaban continues the search for his King, always one step behind. Artaban spends much of his remaining wealth and all of his energy helping the poor and unfortunate people he meets, until at the end of his life he finally finds Jesus--at His trial! Has Artaban wasted his life in a foolish quest? Will he ever get the chance to present his gifts to the King?

Above is a plot summary from the Fourth Wiseman movie made in 1985. The summary is taken from imdb. It's a great story.

And the picture is from my traditional New Year's Eve walk in VT. I thought it suggested hope to me for the new year.

Great story. Sounds like most of humanity. We "chase", or whatever you want to call it", and then we finally get our chance.

I love this Magi because his journey was never easy. He didn't have his buddies to travel with, but he went anyway. And he kept missing Jesus, over and over again, but Artaban kept moving, kept trying. His journey was tough. And from the toughest journey the lessons are great.

Most of humanity, if it's not easy, give up. Artaban is a role model for us all.

Artaban was a role model for all, and the torch has been passed to us to be the role model for all in our lives.
At least that's the meaning that surfaces here.
