I had to step back

Every ride we take a picture of the participants at the big mirror on Oxbow in Wayland. To get us all in frame, I had to step way back.

Their names are on there.

The adult in me versus the child

The child wants to roll in the field and lie in the sun all day long. The adult can only think about the deer ticks and Lyme Disease.

Road Ready

She is ready.  New tires, new pedals new seat.  A dream. Her frame graffitied with love.  She will carry on.

Love

Can be hidden in the most rustic of places.  But it's in there.

Love. Chicken.

The sister mentioned she loved these chickens. The response was that she would have one.   A love chicken.   But it would have to be a hen.   And she would also have a sister in Massachusetts.  Art mirrors life.

Using One

To get to another. Training for the Pan Mass Challenge means being on the saddle a lot. With a customer base all over New England I have a wonderful set of destinations both far and then very far. This was my first 90 plus weekend.  Pan Mass is 200 miles.

Small Acts of Kindness

Almost completely invisible to the naked eye.  But the heart sees and knows the great effort it takes to feed hungry children.

On The Cutting Edge

Three years ago I was part time. Receptionist and bookkeeper. Was told a woman, a mom, couldn't advance into dispatch because their true focus wouldn't be the job. The company was always looking for that one man to step into operations.

This week I left the books behind and was invited to take that step. Full time, more than full time operations dispatch.

When I started the gentlemen who called in requesting our services would ask for one of the guys. Now, most will relate the parameters of their shipping needs to me. Gaining a customers trust is humbling.
