Early Morning Refresher

Now repeat after me...

Two negatives is a postive
Two positives is a positive
A negative and a postive,
regardless of their order, is a negative

Again, with feeling...

I'm not a math head, but that sounds about right. But in the world outside of numbers, I think any positive, even when combined with a negative, can still be a positive.

Here's a quote from Thomas Edison:

"I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward."

Well in a way, yes. When you mix a negative with a positive the operation is subtraction, but the over all sign of the sum depends on the sign of the highest valued integer.

I explained to my dear dear one like this.

Think of IT as your self esteem. If I add negativity to your SE then you feel worse, ie more negative. Also if I subtract some positivity then you still feel worse. BUT, if I subtract some negativity, your SE is boasted and you feel more positive. And to complete this psychological exercise if I add positivity to your SE you feel more positive.

Wait... hold on, Dr. Phil is on the phone....
