I Own It

Today, I will call the carrier that I booked last Friday, to deliver a load labeled ASAP, to a receiver who is closed today. Costly mistake. Excellent learning opportunity. The situation will be cleared up in less than 15 minutes. The carrier will voice their displeasure. After all their truck is tied up today with my freight. I will listen. I will apologize. Offering no excuses. Payment will be agreed upon and made. Moving on.

Great example of courage, ownership, responsibility, fairness, humility, service, and personal leadership.

Gutsy to share. Pat yourself on the back (and perhaps even celebrate the learning.

Could not imagine not owning it. As scary as facing the carrier is/was. So many lessons to learn from one of life's many experiences. Truly there is no going back.
