I'm drawn to cemeteries and the idea of eternal rest, eternal peace. I know not one resting soul in this small family plot which dates back to the 1800's, if not before. Still I wonder about their lives and the heaven they attained.
It is a peaceful plot.

Less than an hour ago, I read an email from a good friend - the parent of one of Chapin's non-blood 'cousins'.
Her husband passed away Saturday night.
Thought it was a stroke, had an operation. Seemed to be doing fine - was able to squeeze her hand, move arms and legs (couldn't talk though).
Discovered too late the brain swelling.
Quickly determined nothing more could be done.
Praying that Mike is resting ever more.
My prayers join yours.
