Something new every day

55 and the year of being bold

Drove into Boston.  Meet up with my sister and her husband.  They arrive later this evening.  Ate dinner solo.

Some like it hot.

In graduate school I worked with the isotope P32 tagged ATP.  Most times I measured the amount of ATP created by the thylakoid membranes. Other times I labeled the ATP myself and measured it's hydrolysis in vitro where I did everything I could to drive the coupling factor complex "backwards."

Ride Canceled?

Remember the addition we helped to build? Well now Grampy is moving in and two walls needed to be constructed to accommodate a bedroom.  

It was nice to know I still remembered  to crown a stud before measuring and cutting.

It's a small thing

But it is done with great love.    Friends need to build a partitioning wall in their home this weekend to create a bedroom. Gramps is moving in Monday. 

This morning's bike ride is quickly canceled to go over and help with construction. I have a hammer.  I can do that.
