Balancing Act

This is the first time in 16 years I've worked for all practical purposes full time. Full time during school is one thing but full time in the summer is a beast. Family must come first.

Perception.....that is what comes to mind. This made me smile. I work full time all the time and summer is the glorious time. Families position stays the same all year, but it is so much easier to enjoy them in the summer. I think that is why I didn't rejoice when my kids went back to school. PS, enjoyed the fresh maple syrup so very much. Every forkful made me think of you and what I have been missing all these years. YUM. Donna

Have been loving all your posts. Read them everyday, even if there are no comments to 'prove' it. :)

Thanks for stopping by Donna. Before this summer where I worked more, I was used to a lot of summer day trips with my girls. As this summer draws to a close and school starts next week, I see we have had very few of our outings, and I miss them. The girls were happy to be home, doing their thing, but it doesn't feel correct with me.

There has to be a balance.

Thanks Jeff, I know you are always there. We finish dog sitting today. I will miss my two new BBFs. They are wonderful additions to our life, even if only for a few days.
