Do you recognize the gift?

Didn't ride since last Thursday. Monday is here. The girls asked to go out to dinner after we run errands after an 8.5 hour work day. I'm exhausted. Sure. But what about riding? Imagine riding right after eating. But it was the only time. It was either go or skip. My knee ached from lack of movement.

The first miles were weighed down. The last, I could have pedaled forever. Looking forward to this evening's ride.

It's really weird how our conventional thinking can be challenged (and delighted) by our CEO.
Congrats on your discovery. Hope dinner was surprisingly delightful too.

Dinner was lovely. The girls love fondue so they choose The Melting Pot. All was great until clothes shopping and a trip to Barnes and Noble were requested. My response, I just spent $100 and I'm tired. Let's run those errands Wednesday after work. Happiness went to sadness. I was shunned in my own home. Kids can be funny. Though I will say later in the evening a hug was requested of me.

I am home the least of anyone in this family with work. The girls are home now from school. Sleeping late. Lazing about. I don't think they understand what being tired from working all day is about. Nor do they see the importance of exercise for physical and mental health. In time.

In time indeed. We set the example, and then use faith, hope and love.
God has a plan.
It's often very different (yet immeasurably better) than ours.
Don't let the devil tempt you to think what you do doesn't make a difference.
