Consequences?

Do you like having warm winters? No snow? No ice? No cold?

Do you like maple syrup? On waffles? On pancakes? On french toast?

Well, without winter's cold there cannot be a sugaring season... The temperatures we are seeing now in January, and those maintained throughout December are the temperatures at which we start setting up the sugaring operation in late February. And that is usually after a nice snowy and cold December - January - early February.

The long range forecast shows no cold between now and January 17th. No cold and no snow.

No cold - no snow - no sap - no syrup - no kidding

Try to find the blessing. Maybe it's one that's arriving for the first time in years. Maybe not.
Generally speaking though, God wastes nothing.

The blessings are winter walks without fear of frostbite, beautiful sunny 52 degree days, lower heating bills, easier times driving to work, no snowdays extending school into summer, not wearing winter jackets indoors or hats to stay warm.

The post just points out all this warmth, which is great, does come at a cost. And one we truly have no control over.
