Just a picture for today

I find it amazing that the snow makes visible the branch venations. We see these trees everyday, but the snow, something white and without color, shows them for what they are.
Snow slows life down. And just like these branches, what seems irregular and without purpose -- given reflection -- stretches, reaches, and grows.

No snow where I'm from. Good thing I suppose. Although the slowing down part sounds wonderful.

No snow poses the question: What is your snow? What exposes the hidden pathways of life?

Have a great day!

Perhaps it's lightning. Although much shorter in duration, it completely makes you stop what you are doing, unless you're indoors. The same but different?

Hurricanes, but they are so few and far between. And when a strong one hits, power usually goes out, making sub-tropical life much more challenging.

You also worry about your roof being torn off.

So the nesting and slowing down are more for survival than breathing slow, relaxed breaths.
