It's February! Unbelievable, the sugaring season will be here soon. Or it will be over soon. It's all up to the weather and the trees. Yesterday the temperature was close to 60, and the buds on a rhododendron were swelling. I glanced up at a local maple and its buds appeared to still be closed up tight. Maybe we will tap the trees next week. The long range forecast is looking good for sap production. Not too warm, not too cold. Like baby bear's porridge. There is a lot of truths in children's stories.I guess we can learn everything we need in life in kindergarten, (and religious ed.).

We were starting to notice what appears to be buds on some of the trees. Crazy, crazy weather here. Cold again, but still no snow.
